Fearnando is a normal kid, however, there is something about him that brings strange things nearby.
This short film is the first of a saga to be known as Fearnando: One Thousand and One Creepy Stories, and also the first-ever short film completely made in-house at Exodo Animation Studios.
From the script to concept art to pre and post production, the short film was created over the course of two years on an on & off production.
Upon the brink of turning 10 years, the studio pushed for the idea of making a short film after a long track of failed attempts which just ended up in zip files somewhere on a hard drive.
Finally, in early 2016 “Fearnando: One Thousand and One Creepy Stories” reached the end of production where multiple re-scripts came into play as well as an entire and unique concept art, modeling, character development and animation. The complete intellectual property workflow had been completed.
The production was not easy since the entire studio staff jumped into it whenever we had a few minutes to spare, and multiple times we reached the point of completely stopping the production of it, yet the haunting of old projects was stuck in our heads and we just realized this couldn’t be another attempt – we had to finish it and pushed it further into what the current short film is.
At the end, Fearnando: One Thousand and One Creepy Stories became the winner of the 3d animation in the Pantalla de Cristal Film Festival and was an Official Selection at the Miami International Science Fiction Festival, among others.
